Success of the Inguimbertine's First Temporary Exhibition: A Retrospective Dedicated to C215

After six months of being open to the public, the Inguimbertine's first temporary exhibition concluded on Sunday, December 1st.

With 18,019 visitors, this retrospective dedicated to street artist Christian Guémy, also known as C215, captivated a wide audience, confirming the growing interest in urban art within cultural institutions.

Spanning 230 m², the exhibition offered an extraordinary journey through the many facets of C215's work, highlighting creations imbued with poetry and political engagement. For over 20 years, the artist has adorned urban facades and street furniture with his stencils, offering a perspective that is both sensitive and thought-provoking on the world around us.

Urban Art at the Heart of Carpentras
While this retrospective has now come to a close within our walls, thirty-six original works, specially created by the artist and inspired by the Inguimbertine's permanent collections, are now part of the urban landscape in Carpentras’ historic center. These creations provide walkers with a unique and lasting artistic discovery, bridging heritage and contemporary art.
